Getting Started
Your site on TheArtPile is controlled by you using the Product section of your Store Administration pages.
- Go to the Exhibitor Utilities -> Log In page.
- Enter your Username and Password.
- Your Exhibiting Member Control Panel will load.
- Click on the Open my store link.
- Log in to your Store Administration Page using your normal Username and Password
The Products Menu
- Add New
will create blank Product Data form. When you finish filling in the information on this form, your product will appear in one or more Portfolio pages and will be available for purchase through your Store.
- Active Products
will find all of your Active Products and display the first 10 in an alphabetical list
- Archived Products
will find all of your Archived Products and display the first 10 in an alphabetical list
Note: Archived Products will appear in your Portfolio page(s) but will not be available for purchase.
General Info Tab

- Artwork Title is REQUIRED and is the title of the artwork. Name displays with the image in your Portfolio page(s) and your Store pages--including the customer Shopping Cart, and final Order.
- Tax Group is REQUIRED for charging state sales tax. This entry should match the state where you reside or do business. This will add state sales tax to the customer order during the Checkout process.
- Portfolio is REQUIRED. Any artwork that you add to your site will appear on your site once it is added to a Portfolio.
- Product Options are NOT REQUIRED for single items or things like a print run where all of the items have the same format. You must set up Product Options when presenting multiple formats for each item. Selling digital prints in either 8 x 10 or 10 x 12 would be set up using 2 different product options.
- Next>> The Next>> button will load the Descriptions Tab where you will enter a Short Description and a Long Description.
The Descriptions Tab

- Short Description is REQUIRED. This entry is displayed in your Portfolio popup windows below the Name of the artwork. It also appears in your Store Search Results pages whenever multiple products are displayed in a grid.
- TheArtPile recommends:
Use 3 to 5 words to describe what you are selling in a "generic" way.
"Oil painting on canvas"
"Digital print on archival paper"
- Long Description is REQUIRED. This entry is displayed in your Portfolio popup windows below the Short Description. This is where any additional information should go.
- TheArtPile recommends:
You will probably want to describe the dimensions, weight (for sculpture), substrate (canvas panel, recycled paper), frame/mat/glass, and other distinguishing characteristics. You don't really want to write a novel here, but if this is part of a series you should tell about that too.
- Next>> The Next>> button will load the Photos Tab where you will add the photos of your artwork.
The Photos Tab

- If you haven't done so already, go to your member control panel and upload your image() to the store.
- Click the folder icon that appears on the right of the Thumbnail: field.
- The Image Picker window will open.

- Click the name of the image in the Thumbnail List.
- Click Select Image and then Close Window.
- Back at the Photo Management window, the filename will be in the Thumbnail: field.

- Select the filename in the Thumbnail field and Copy (Edit Menu->Copy)
- Paste the filename into the remaining three fields.
- Click the Finish button.
- A new tab will appear--SKU--where you will enter the price(s).
SKU (Store Keeping Unit)

- Enter the Price of the Artwork using numbers only (10 will display $10.00 in your store, 10.5 will display $10.50 in your store).
- Enter the Quantity Offered.
- If you set up Options and clicked one in the General Info tab, you will see a popup menu where you pick the SKU Option (in this case Format->Note card and envelope, A6 size)
- Click Add New SKU.
- Your SKU will be saved with the product and you will return to the General Info tab.
- If you selling the artwork in multiple formats and have set up Options, click the SKU tab and enter additional SKUs.
